Zack Showalter – USF Commit Up To 95

Nov 12, 2020 | Commits

Zack Showalter is a 2022 USF baseball commit with many tools, but his greatest tool is his arm. He has been clocked from the outfield at 98mph and he has consistently powered his fastball up to 95mph in his last few pitching outings. His bulldog mentaility and mental toughness make him a prototypical closer on the mound. Zach also has the ability to throw two more pitches for strikes: A wipeout slider and changeup.

Showalter is more than just a pitcher.

Zack is also a tremendous outfielder will great instincts. He can play any outfield position and runs a 6.60 sixty yard dash. He also shows gap to gap power in the bat and can get the ball to the low 100 exit velocities as a junior in high school. His multiple tools, and their quality, make Showalter a MLB draft prospect in the summer of 2022. This will be a very interesting player to follow and watch grow for CBU for the next 2 years.
